Corroseal is a water based rust converter combined with an unpigmented high quality latex paint primer. The converting agent turns rust into a barrier layer of black, non rusting magnetite, plus other inert substances. The primer acts as a bonding agent for epoxy, enamel, acrylic, urethane or oil-based paint. Corroseal bonds exceptionally well with moisture cured urethane (1,000 psi +). Contains no chemical listed in EPA 40 CFR Cp1, Part 433. Non flammable, non corrosive. VOC compliant at 60 grams/liter. Not restricted by Federal DOT shipping regulations.
Corroseal is recommended for use on all steel surfaces as a rust converter/paint primer. Corroseal protects against future rusting, and can be used on welds. It eliminates the need to mechanically blast the steel to white metal, and is designed for use of water blasted surfaces that rerust.
