All radar data is digitally processed within this solid pedestal via a digital signal processor and is efficiently presented on compatible Garmin chartplotter/multifunction displays (MFDs). Digital processing allows for more precise recognition, enhancement, and filtering of radar echoes making the finished display easier to read and interpret.
This pedestal's two speed gear box allows for an antenna sweep of either 24 or 48 RPMs, with an input voltage of 10.5 - 38 volts DC and a typical input power of 45W. The pedestal also powers radar covering a range up to 72 nautical miles.
