Stands are used to only to stabilize the boat. Use keel blocking to support the weight of the boat. Measurements should be taken from the ground to the flat of the hull. Base your measurements on keeping the minimum number of threads exposed. If there is a straight line from the hull to the ground, use motorboat stands. If the hull is at an angle to the ground, use sailboat stands.
Number required: 4 stands(minimum) for powerboat, 5 stands(minimum) for sailboats.
